Die Etappe beginnt im Naturschutzgebiet rund um den Lac de Derborence mit seinem Bergsturz-Urwald, steigt durch das Tal der Derbonne zum Lac de la Forcle und auf den Col de la Forcle. Vom Pass eröffnet sich ein Panoramablick auf die 4000er-Gipfel des Wallis, bevor der Weg mehrheitlich talwärts nach Ovronnaz führt. Offizielle Etappe 3 der SchweizMobil-Route 82.
