Von Arolla steigt die Route rund 800 Höhenmeter zur Cabane des Aiguilles Rouges an. Nach einem kurzen weiteren Aufstieg folgt ein steiler Abstieg Richtung Lac Bleu; entlang der Waldgrenze und über einen geologischen Themenweg geht es zurück nach Arolla.
